Next, check the insurance coverage of your prospective moving companies. The best coverage is full value, where the entire load is covered. If items are damaged or lost, the movers will replace them or reimburse you. Other less expensive policies are available, but the tradeoff is less coverage. Your decision should be based on the value of your belongings. Speak with your insurance agent to determine the right policy.

Another factor to consider is whether your list of moving companies is able to pack and unpack your load.
